New build in Kew

In 2009 Acumen completed this contemporary two -bedroom house in Kew. The client decided to build from new by utilising the space available on the corner plot of his parents’ house.

The scheme was designed by Zac Monro with a strong requirement to fit the client’s budget without compromise on the quality of materials and finishes.

The total construction cost was less than £150k, offering exceptional value for money in a beautiful and sought-after location in this London suburb.

As the House has been built entirely from scratch the insulating materials and construction methods employed allow the property to be A-rated for thermal efficiency and in most cases exceed minimum standards for new builds.

Acumen were able to assist the client in passing on the zero VAT rated status that the government allow on new builds.
